Abstract :
The result of this research finally showed that students reading comprehension
ability is 50.66 for their pre-test and 52.58 for their post-test. The data was analyzed
bay using t-test and the result showed that the t-test value 6.08 was greater than the ttable
value 2.042. It means that there was a significant difference of students reading comprehension ability before and after treatment of Random Text Strategy and it can be concluded that random text strategy was effective for improving reading comprehension ability
