Abstract :
The results of this research show that : (1) Implicit referential meaning contained in the novel Cleopatra : A Life by Stacy Schiff there are there : (a) persona referent = it, Cleopatra’s, they, his she, her, he, (b) demonstrative referent = this, that, the, (c) comparative referent = so, as, other, more, another. but implicit referential meaning more the persona referents. (2) An implicit referential meaning contained in a sentence or phrase, a meaningful refers in a word contained at the beginning of a sentence or phrase, also implicit referential meaning it clear, and does not cause ambiguity in it.
