Abstract :
In regard to the data analysis, the writer concluded that most of impressions of the poem are provided by the use of figurative language in the poem. The figurative language are: simile, personification, hyperbole expressions in ” Nightingale Song” and hyperbole, personification, irony, and apostrophe expressions in “The Haunting. In addition, the theme of the poem is closely related to the impression of both poems as the result of the role of impressions as a basic assumption before gaining the theme of the poem.
