Abstract :
This thesis has implications for telling people how social interaction has been variation in the work. In addition, this thesis can stimulate students of English Literature to learn more about cooperation in social interactions that are used in the community. After analyzing the data of social interaction in the novel “open city”, the writer found that cooperation which implied in utterance of conversation or dialogue that used by author in this novel there are 12 data all of them explained are about the cooperation between Cole and some people in the novel. Those are explained that Cole did cooperation with some people by different activity and different goal the cooperation’s which were done in by Cole is communication like giving information and knowledge.
