Based on the fact, the researcher concluded that, the ice breker was effective toimprove the students’ motivation in learning English at the first grade of MTsMadaniAlauddin Pao-pao. It was also proved by the observation which indicated that students alwaysenjoy, beactive, energize, feeling happiness, interactive in the classroom, stay in the classduring learning process, and focus on the material
