Abstract :
This thesis aims to analyze ego defense mechanism and the symptoms of De Clerembault syndrome. The writer used psychological approach to find out the ego defense mechanism and symptoms of De Clerembault syndrome. The source of the data from Steve Shill’s movie “Obsessed”. The writer used note taking in collecting data source as her instrument. The result of this research is the writer found out four symptoms and four ego defense mechanism of De Clerembault syndrome in Steve Shill’s movie “Obsessed”. The symptoms are delucion and hallucination, harrasing behaviour, stalking and lie. And the writer also found 4 ego defense mechanism namely displacement, regression, rationalization and projection.
