Abstract :
n terms of validity, the researcher found that, the short-answer test has 8 items (80%) that were valid, as they showed the standard of validity of a good test and 2
items (20%) that were unable to deal with the standard of validity index required by a trustworthy test item. On the contrary, 5 items (100%) of the completion test were
found reliable, as the validity indexes were higher than the table of critical value of product moment (0.297) with the level of significance 95 percent. Furthermore, the reliability of English test designed by the teacher was also found different. The shortanswer test was reliable because the reliability index was 0.808 which
was higher than the table of critical value of product
moment (0.297) with the level of significance 95%.
However, the reliability of completion test was found to be not reliable as the reliability index was 0.140 which was lower than the table of critical value of product
moment (0.297) with the level of significance 95 %
