Abstract :
The finding of this research shows that suggestopedia method was effective to improve student motivation. It is proved by t-test (2.36) which is higher than t-table in the degree significance (1.67). It is considered that the null hypothesis (H0) in this research is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which states that There is a significant effect of using suggestopedia on students
motivation in learning English is accepted. It means that suggestopedia method is effective towards the first grade students motivation in learning English at SMAN 5 Sidrap.
