Abstract :
The study was a test of density, viscosity and surface tension on the ink
print with the basic ingredients of coconut husk charcoal. With the aim to
determine the comparative value of the density, viscosity and surface tension of
ink made from charcoal with commercial ink canon. Measurement of the density
value is done by comparison of mass per volume of ink, while to know the value
of ink viscosity using Ostwald viscometer and surface tension measurements
using capillary rise. Based on the research that has been conducted shows that the
ink charcoal has a value of density, viscosity and surface tension greater than the
commercial inks. Ink density value of charcoal ink made from charcoal has an
average density of 0.91 gr/cm
3
greater 4.5% of the komersial.Nilai ink viscosity
ink made from charcoal has an average viscosity of 2,422 poise higher 93.2% of
the surface tension komersial.Nilai ink ink made from charcoal has a surface
tension value of the average is 34.584 dyne/cm greater 15.7% of the commercial
ink.
