Abstract :
This research aimed to describe how picture series medium can improve the students? writing skill for eighth grade at SMP Negeri 1 Bintan. This research was claasroom action research. It consists of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four meetings. The research data were collected by using techniques of observation, interview, task and test. The subject of this research was 20 students in VIII B at SMP Negeri 1 Bintan, in academic year 2019/2020. The result showed, there were positive improvements in students? writing skill. It can be seen from result of each post-test which is improved. Average score of the students? test in cycle 1 was 63.57. Average of students? test in cycle 2 was 68.87. It means picture series medium improved students? writing skill.
