Abstract :
Speaking is one of the important parts in English skills that should be mastered by students besides reading, writing, and listening. The function of speaking skill is to express an idea, someone feeling, though, and it expresses spontaneously by orally. As language learners who had learned English intensively, the students should be able to interact orally with each other through English. The purpose of this research was to identify the factors that contribute to students?? anxiety? in? speaking? English. Therefore, the researcher conducted a qualitative?study?analysis?of?students??anxiety?factors?in?speaking.?The?researcher? conducted research based on one research question. The research question is ?What? are the? factors? of? students? anxiety? in? Speaking??? Based on the research question,? the? result? of? the? research? has? shown? that? some? factors? of? students?? anxiety in speaking of MTs Negeri Tanjungpinang. Next, the researcher finds the factors?of?students?anxiety?in?speaking.? First,?factors?anxiety?in?speaking? comes from the teacher such as speaking in front of the class, and factor of teacher personality attitude. Second, factors anxiety in speaking comes from students such being?laughed?at?by?other?students,?students??beliefs?about?speaking,?and?factor?of? lack preparation.
