Abstract :
Research on the identification of acroporidae with a newly approach called Reef Identification Knowhow Application ? Reconstructed by 3D Imagery (RIKA ? R3DI) method has been carried out in Bintan Island waters. The purpose of this research was to find out whether RIKA ? R3DI method can be used to identifying family of acroporidae effectively. This research was conducted through surveys by conducting observation, sampling, and purposive sampling tehnique with location and samples determined by the researcher. The result confirm two species i.e Acropora microphthalma and A. sarmentosa.
