Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to found the influence of gallery walk method to student?s study interest and cognitive results of biology subjet on the excretory system material. This research was an Experimental study. he population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Tanjungpinang. The sampling technique used a probability sampling where the entire population was sampled so that the research sample amounted to 60 students who were grouped into control and experimental groups. The research instrument used in this study is a questionnaire instrument used to obtain data on student responses to student interest in learning that is taught using the gallery walk method, (1) There is a significant effect on the use of the gallery walk method on students' interest in learning as indicated by the value of sig. 0.000 < 0,05 Based on the value of tcount > ttable which is equal to 23.689 > 2.0017, it is stated that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. (2) There is a significant effect on the use of the gallery walk method on students' cognitive learning outcomes which show that the value of sig. 0.000 > 0,05 and the value of tcount > t table which is 8.075 > 2.0017 therefore, it is stated that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This gallery walk method can be an alternative learning method to support the learning process that can increase interest, creativity and better learning result.
