Abstract :
This study aims to develop teaching material in the form of comic for reading comprehension on narrative text material for the ninth-grade at SMPN 6 Tanjungpinang. The subjects in this study are ninth-grade students?, totaling 28 students?. This research is based on research and development with the ADDIE model, consisting of stages: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. But this study was only carried out until the implementation stage. From the validation carried out on Putri Pandan Berduri comic, the results of validity were obtained from a material expert with an average of 80% in ?Valid? catergory and validation results were obtained from a media expert with an average of 92% in the "Very Valid" category. The Putri Pandan Berduri comic teaching material which was tested on ninth-grade students? at SMPN 6 Tanjungpinang obtained an average score of 84. It can be concluded that Putri Pandan Berduri comic are suitable to be used for reading comprehension on narrative text material.
