Abstract :
The aimed of this research was to find out whether or not the prediction strategy has significant effect on students? reading comprehension at SMA N 1 Lingga. This research used quasy-Experimental method and carried out pre-test, treatment, and post-test related the narrative text as the material. This research was conducted in four meetings. The sample was X MIPA 1 as control class and X MIPA 2 as experimental class, the total students are 42 students in the academic year 2022/2023. This sample used purposive sampling technique. The data was analyzed using SPSS. The finding was prediction strategy has significant effect on students? reading comprehension. It was proved by the mean score of the experimental class was 71.19 for pre-test and 79.29 for post-test. The result of improvement is also proved with paired sample t-test (sig. 0.00) was lower than (sig.0.05). It means Prediction Strategy has significant effect on students? reading comprehension.
