Abstract :
The aim was to determine the impact of comic strips on teaching narrative text writing. A pre-experimental research design was employed with a single group of students from SMKN 3 Tanjungpinang class X TLAS as the research sample. The pre-test was given at the beginning of the research and followed by treatment. The post-test was given at the end of the research. SPSS version 19 was used to compare the score to get the average of the two values. The study hypothesis was then tested using a paired sample t-test. The statistical tests employed in this study revealed that the employment of comic strips in teaching narrative text writing resulted in a significant difference in students' scores between the pre and post-test on students' writing performance at Tanjungpinang in 2022. It can be concluded that Comic Strips are giving a significant effect on students writing performance of narrative texts for students at X TLAS of SMKN 3 Tanjungpinang.
