Abstract :
Analisis Gaya Bahasa Pertentangan Kumpulan Puisi Masterpiece Series 2 Karya Jhon Kenedi Ferbina BrTarigan1, Abdul Malik2, Legi Elfitra3 Ferbina190997@gmail.Com The goal to be achieved in this study is to be able to describe the use of conflicting language styles of the Masterpiece Series 2 poetry collection by Jhon Kenedi using qualitative research methods, namely research methods based on the philosophy of postpositivism, used to examine the condition of scientific objects, where the researcher is the key instrument. Data collection techniques are carried out with note-taking and document techniques. This conflicting stylistic analysis study of 25 Masterpiece Series 2 poems was created to fulfill the final project. The results of poetry analysis research show that in a poem there are various language styles, one of which is the conflicting language style. From the results of the study of 25 collections of poems Masterpiece Series 2 obtained conflicting language styles consisting of hyperbolic language styles, oxymoron language styles, climax language styles and 8 anticlimactic language styles. The author hopes that the stylistic researchers in the next poem will go deeper into the conflicting language styles to get better results.
