Abstract :
The purposed of this research was to know the effect of using jigsaw method on students? speaking skill of ninth grade students with two classes in learning report text. The researcher used quasi-experimental research method with posttest only. This research used normality test, homogeneity test and independent t-test as the research methodology using oral test as data collection instrument. The results of the data analyze showed a value tsig=3.59 and ttable= 1.69, because 3.59 > 1.69, so the hypothesis (H1) was accepted. This research contribute to an understanding the used of jigsaw method to help students? speaking skill in learning report text. The teacher can also see the students who have contribute in discussion and help students to be more confident and speak active in learning process. By using jigsaw method the teacher can maked students enthusiastic when learning or discussion takes place so that students? speaking skill also get better.
