Abstract :
Organizational culture is very influential and very important in improving
employee performance at PT Pos (PERSERO) Tanjungpinang. where is this
organizational culture as a benchmark for the provisions of the rules that have
been set in accordance with the vision and mission. the purpose of this research is
to find out how self-discipline and how the organizational culture in the PT Pos
(PERSERO) Tanjungpinang company is to improve the quality of the performance
of its employees. In this study using a qualitative descriptive research method, the
type of data collection carried out was interviews, observation, and
documentation with 5 informants. the results of the study show that self-discipline
and self-awareness of employees and responsibility for tasks assigned by
superiors are still lacking. masi employees tend to arrive late according to
procedures set by the company. with the findings that there is still a shortage of
employees causing a lack of improvement in employee performance. employees
are an asset in the company and the most important thing for the improvement of
the company. employee discipline is still relatively low resulting in decreased
performance improvement and minimal supervision from superiors regarding
employee discipline at work. as well as regarding organizational culture at the
company it has not been implemented properly due to employee indiscipline. often
taking leave for reasons that are not clear and also late arrival. so that the goods
to be delivered become hampered. the researcher's suggestion in this study is that
the company can supervise and control employees to be better at work in order to
improve employee performance, because a good organizational culture and
discipline within the company will ensure the smooth operation and work
productivity of employees to improve the quality of better and maximum
performance. And can minimize errors and delays in the delivery of goods. As
well as the company must check the employees so as not to find excessive
absences.
