Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to find out English Foreign Language Teachers creativities who taught in 8th grade at SMP N 5 Tanjungpinang in implementing discovery learning when teaching recount text. This is a qualitative research. The data were obtained from observation and interview. The researchers as the main instrument and supporting instruments were observation and interviews. The researcher observed the teacher while doing the learning process, and then interviewed teacher. The data were analyzed qualitatively by using three steps, as follow: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study showed that the English teacher had some creativities associated with discovery learning steps when teaching recount text. It could be concluded that the teacher was quite creative in teaching English but was difficult to explain her creativity in teaching
