Abstract :
Purpose the research was to know what are the speaking problems faced by the second-semester of English education study program at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang. The researcher used qualitative method to analyze the data with total 22 students as populations. To get the data for this research, the researcher used video of documentations as instrument. The result in this research showed that there some problems in speaking faced by the second-semester student of English education study program at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji, the problems found by the researcher are anxiety, lack of confidence, shyness and afraid to makes mistake. Most dominant problems that the researcher found are anxiety and lack of confidence, many students are feels anxious, nervous and lost their confidence, when they performed speaking in front their friends and lectures.
