Abstract :
The changes in time can influence the individualistic attitudes of the Qulhu tradition if the community undergoes a shift towards individualism. Thus, participation in collective practices such as the Qulhu tradition may decrease due to a focus on personal interests within the community. Solidarity within the community will also be affected because of the lack of collective involvement in traditional activities such as the Qulhu procession, which can weaken social bonds and impact the dynamics of individualistic attitudes and social solidarity in the community. However, this is different in the Duara Village community, where as time progresses, they become more united in preserving the walking dishes in the Qulhu tradition. This research aims to examine how the Duara Village community sustains the implementation of walking dishes in the Qulhu tradition, ensuring its continued practice until today. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The informant determination technique in this research utilizes purposive sampling, and the findings reveal the implementation of walking dishes in the Qulhu tradition involves uniformity and beliefs, values, and actions carried out by community members. This creates social solidarity where people unite due to similarity in religious practices. The existence of walking dishes in the Qulhu tradition can also endure because of the efforts, social awareness, empathy, and sympathy of the community to preserve it.
