Abstract :
Magic cards are one teaching instrument that can be used to teach writing. The researcher found, on primary observation, that writing skills seem to be a significant challenge for students. The aims of this study is to show how eight grade student at SMP Negeri 4 Bintan can use Magic Cards to enhance their writing skills. This study used classroom action research. The research design was composed of planning, activity, observation, and reflection. This study, which was conducted in class VIIIA, involved a sample of twenty-five students. Writing tests and observation sheets functioned as the data gathering techniques. Researchers
used success criteria to evaluate the study's effectiveness. The result, according to the success criteria, 84% of eighth-grade students finished the writing test using magic cards. Additionally, student involvement rose as they excitedly completed the writing task using the Magic Cards, actively participated in conversations, and improved the organization of their thoughts. It can be concluded that magic cards media can improve students' writing skills in grade eight SMP 4 Bintan
