Abstract :
This research aimed to find out what the perceptions of EFL students at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji were. The subjects in this study were K1 class students at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang, totaling 42 students. The type of research used was a mixed method. The researcher employed both qualitative and quantitative techniques. Questionnaire sheets were used in this study to collect data, and interviews were conducted to strengthen the questionnaire data. The purpose of this study was to gather information about the use of the Wattpad application to learn English, especially reading skills. The results showed that the study received a good response from the students. Based on the data from the table of 10 questions from the questionnaire, it could be seen that the variable use of Wattpad for reading skills had an overall percentage of 67.44%, which was classified in the good category (interested). This indicated that the responses from the K1 class students at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang had shown an interest in using Wattpad to learn English and were able to answer the questions in this study.
