Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to analyze the reading comprehension difficulties faced by students majoring in English Education. This study used qualitative as the research design using UMRAH students, Department of English Semester One in the academic year 2024/2025 as the research subjects. The research instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 20 statements and 5 interview questions. After analyzing the data collected. The researcher found problems faced by students, including: Language knowledge, learner?s background knowledge, motivation, lack of reading strategies, and kind of reading texts to answer the questions effectively. Thus, it answered this study. A significant challenge faced by students is kind of reading text. Scientific articles, complicated writing styles, and long sentences can be challenging for students.
