Abstract :
This study analyzed pronunciation error especially in English vowel. Pronunciation is branch of phonology that the study focuses on the sound. The object of this study was 20 students from Musi banyuasin III. The problems of this study were (1), What errors are made by Native Musi Banyuasin III students in English pronunciation (2), What are the factors of errors made by the Native Banyuasin III students in their English pronunciation. The objectives of this study were to find out the errors of English words made by Native Musi Banyuasin III students and the factors of errors in English pronunciation made by Native Musi Banyuasin III students. In conducting this study, the researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The data was taken from 22 vowels in English and the results were mostly in the form of phonetic transcripts of 30 words and 10 sentences. The result of this study showed 47,2% vowel errors .
