Abstract :
UD. Eka proma is a manufacturing company which produces raw materials of shoes and sandals. As a manufacturing company, UD Eka Proma uses the strategy of Make-to-Stock. However, inaccuracies often happen in the planning of product storage for several periods, so the company had excess of products in the warehouse (overstock), and experienced delays in meeting customer demand due to the lack of product in the warehouse(stockout). From the explained problems, companies need application that can conduct the planning of product which was built based on a tested theory, that is Winter forecasting methods. From the evaluation, it is known that the application was able to provide the results of the inventory planning for the coming months, so that when the customer demanded, the products were available and stockout condition can be prevented. Applications could also reduce storage costs for Hak 303, from Rp.165.250,- to Rp.130.850,- with a difference of Rp.34.400,-. While for Sole 489, from Rp. 336.600,- to Rp.244.170,- with a difference of 92,430,-. The percentage of space used in the warehouse for Hak 303 decreased from 3,89%, to 3,08% with a difference of f 0.81%. While for Sole 489 decreased from 4,40% space used, to 3,19% with a difference of 1,21%. It can be concluded that both applications can give optimum planning result, so overstock can be prevented.
