Abstract :
The aim of this study is to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of working capital management towards the profitability in Indonesian Manufacturing Company. Independent variables used in this study were receivables conversion in days, inventory conversion in days, and payables conversion in days. Dependent variable used in this study was profitability, analyzed by return on assets (ROA). The observation years were from year 2009 through year 2014. Total of 12 manufacturing companies were taken as the samples. Samples were selected using purposive judgement sampling method and data analysis was treated as panel. The statistic method of analysis of this research was multiple regression analysis. The result of this research showed that the receivables conversion in days had no significant effect towards profitability. Meanwhile, inventory conversion in days and payables conversion in days had a negative and significant effect towards the profitability.
