Abstract :
This research uses these two models to bankruptcy prediction on transportation company for the year 2007-2011. Which aim of this research todescribe bankruption of transportation company and to know the best bankruptcy predictor in transportation companies which used financial statement analysis. There are two famous bankruptcy predictors that used financial ratio analysis which are The Altman Model and The Ohlson Model. This research took 6 samples of transportation companies which are indicated as financial distress for the year and to have a good comparison this research also took 7 number of non financial distress companies which are in the same category. With the total observation on transportation company are 65 observations and uses logistic regression. This research found that The Ohlson Model can?t used to predict the financial distress on transportation company. So,The Altman Model is the best bankruptcy predictor more than The Ohlson Model.
