Abstract :
This thesis presents and analyzes the work of the Glendèh gendhing rebab
with a sequence of gending vocabulary: Gendhing Glendèh kethuk sekawan kerep
minggah wolu, kalajengaken Ladrang Glendeh. the two problems raised in this
thesis are; (1) Why does gendhing Glendèh worked? (2) How about gendhing
Glendèh when serving kosèk alus ?. These two problems are examined based on
the concept of working on, the concept of pathet, and the concept really. The
method used is orientation, observation, exploration, improvisation, and
evaluation. Research data were collected through literature studies, observations
and interviews with musical artists and also musical lecturers.
The results showed that by interpreting the source of the pathet, to find the
same work on the gendhing Bontit and Danaraja, then applying it to the gendhing
Glendèh, the gending became a gending which had creative and unique processing
weights. coupled with the discovery of new cultivation by applying the manyura
cangokok to the tuning settings of the 5 and 1 tones, then the workmanship is a
new thing in the vocabulary work, especially the work on the rebab.
