Abstract :
This art thesis was created with the aim to describe and analyse sindhènan
mrabot Teja Arum laras sléndro pathet sanga with the series of gending: jineman
Tatanya, Teja Arum gendhing kethuk kalih kerep minggah sekawan, ladrang
Gandariya, pathetan Jingking, ayak-ayak wiled kaseling lagon Soyung, srepeg,
and palaran Sinom Wenikenya garap langendriyan. The writing of this thesis is
also adapted to the concept of tradition gending presentation as the final task.
The issues presented in this study include: (1) Why Teja Arum presented
mrabot? (2) How the garap sindhènan of each gending? Both point are analyzed
based on the concepts and thoughts about garap and sindhènan karawitan
espescially Surakarta style. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. The
work method starts from designing works, determining the source and data type,
and then collecting the data. Data collection techniques that are conducted
among others, the study of the library, observation either directly or indirectly,
also interviews. After the data is collected, data analysis and reduction are
performed.
The research results obtained that mrabot is a series of gending with a
variety of shapes and characters but still has the same plot with the aim of making
variety musical dramatic. In addition, sindhènan in mrabot based on variety of
shapes and characters of each gending, produces a series of variety character or
rasa gending, but still in a complete unity. It has an effect on placing wangsalan
and abon-abon, choosing céngkok and wiledan, and angkat-sèlèh sindhènan.
