Abstract :
Thesis of this artwork is entitled Garap Kendang Gendhing Lambangsari
andMoncer Alus. The two problems that raised in this artwork thesis are: (1)
How to work on an interesting gending for the public to enjoy in musical
live at this time: and (2) howgarap kendhangan that suitable for this gending?
These two problems are examined based on the concept of garap, the
concept of laya, the concept of rhythm, the concept of kemunggahan sekaran.
The research data are collected through literature studies, observations and
interview with a number of musical artists. The result of the research
showed that the researcher received a Lambangsari gendhing dish with a
kendangan matut Yogyakarta style, Surakarta style and Nartasabdan matut
style. The result of the concept of combining several musical styles like that
can be applied to garap on other gending, so that a musical presentation
becomesmore interesting. In theMoncer Alus ladrang the researcher gets the
kendang kalih wiled pattern. This kind of garap can be applied to other
gending, if youwant to get a different taste ofwiled dishwith ciblon kendang
wiled dish.
