Abstract :
The thesis of this artwork, describing the musical composition work "Sengkuni" was lifted from social phenomena originating from the story of purwa shadow puppets, especially the character of Sengkuni. The nature of cunning Sengkuni likes to fight sheep is the inspiration for composing musical composition works. The point of view is different from the nature of Sengkuni, namely, that Sengkuni's love for Gendari and Kurawa is an impression for musical compositions through the cultivation of colors of sound, rhythm, melody and harmony. The musical composition "Sengkuni" is composed in several impressions of a calm, tense, loyal atmosphere. Garapan uses the development of traditional elements in the form of the use of the source of the sound of the pan, iron pipes, pounding of the feet, clapping and flute as musical instruments
