Abstract :
The thesis with the title Transformation working on gending in Balisa campursari music in Sragen is motivated by the transformation of gending work from the concept of musical form to campursari. The case that occurred was a creative way from Balisa members to work on the Cucur Bawuk musical form which was transformed into campursari music. The method to answer this problem uses the theory and concept of Rahayu Supanggah about the work done by Balisa campursari who influenced the elements in the change. In addition, it uses KN Nalu's thinking to transform the musical form that is transformed into Balisa campursari music. In Alan P. Meriam's theory about changes in the interpretation of bonang gending Cucur Bawuk by Balisa campursari. This research method uses a qualitative methodology, by conducting observations, interviews and literature studies in order to obtain quality information or data. The results of the transformation study answered the process carried out by Balisa campusari in working on gending and knowing the results of the gending that had been transformed. Answering the influence or supporting factors of transformi conducted by Balisa campursari.
