Abstract :
Emesis Gravidarum adalah gejala yang wajar atau sering terjadi pada
kehamilan trimester pertama biasanya terjadi di pagi hari. Gejala-gejala ini
biasanya terjadi enam minggu setelah hari pertama haid terakhir dan
berlangsung kurang lebih 10 minggu.
Tujuan pengelolaan dari kasus ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh aromaterapi
peppermint terhadap intensitas emesis gravidarum pada ibu hamil trimester I.
Desain penelitian yang digunakan pre eksperimen dengan pendekatan One
Group Pretest-Postest Design. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling
sebanyak 15 ibu hamil trimester I, Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner.
Hasil penelitian Tingkat mual dan muntah sebelum diberikan aromaterapi
peppermint pada ibu hamil trimester I menunjukkan skor kategori ringan
sebanyak 8 responden ( 53.3%) sedangkan skor kategori sedang sebanyak 7
responden (46.7%), Tingkat mual muntah setelah diberikan aromaterapi
peppermint pada ibu hamil trimester I didapatkan hasil seluruhnya 15 responden
(100.0%). Hasil uji Paired samples test diperoleh p-value 0,000.
Kesimpulan yang di dapat ada pengaruh aromaterapi peppermint
terhadap mual dan muntah pada ibu hamil trimester I sehingga disarankan bagi
tenaga kesehatan bidan menerapkan pemberian aromaterapi dalam asuhan ibu
hamil untuk mengurangi angka kesakitan yang sering dirasakan ibu-ibu hamil
dalam usia kehamilan muda.
ABSTRACT
Emesis Gravidarum is a natural symptom or often occurs in the first
trimester of pregnancy usually occurs in the morning. These symptoms usually
occur six weeks after the first day of the last menstrual period and last
approximately 10 weeks.
The management objective of this case was to determine the effect of peppermint
aromatherapy on the intensity of emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant
women.
The research design used was pre-experimental with the One Group Pretest?Postest Design approach. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique
as many as 15 pregnant women in the first trimester. The research instrument
used a questionnaire.
The results of the study The level of nausea and vomiting before being given
peppermint aromatherapy to pregnant women in the first trimester showed a mild
category score of 8 respondents (53.3%) while a moderate category score was 7
respondents (46.7%), The level of nausea and vomiting after being given
peppermint aromatherapy to pregnant women in the first trimester showed a total
of 15 respondents (100.0%). Paired samples test results obtained p-value 0.000.
The conclusion that can be obtained is that there is an effect of
peppermint aromatherapy on nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant
women, so it is recommended for midwives to apply aromatherapy in the care of
pregnant women to reduce the morbidity that is often felt by pregnant women at a
young gestational age.
