Abstract :
The area of Indonesia has a tropical climate season with very high rainfall so it is necessary to improve the performance of telecommunication systems, especially in tropical areas such as Cijeruk to Caringin which is in the city of Bogor which has high rainfall which can cause propagation attenuation which affects the communication network system. The solution needed is to design a network system that is reliable and also resistant to rain conditions by calculating rainfall attenuation using the Synthetic Storm Technology (SST) method and the Link Segmentation method using wind speed and direction data. Measurement of rainfall using software pathloss 5.0 on non-diversity resulted in a received signal level of - 55.32 dB, a fading margin of 15.68 and availability of 99.88412%. However, the availability obtained has not yet reached the ITU R G.827 standard target. Then the design and calculation of rain attenuation with the Synthetic Storm Technique method and the link segmentation method in the cell site diversity technique were carried out. The results of the link budget diversity calculation result in the received signal level of -43.32 dB, the fading margin of 30.62 and the results of the implementation of the cell site diversity technique being 99.9999993% according to the ITU R G.827 standard.
