Abstract :
This research was conducted in an effort to plan the 5G NR (New Radio) network in a coverage area with a frequency of 2.6 GHz and 3.3 GHz in the Sawahan area, Surabaya which has an area of 7.64 Km2. The selection of this area as a research project due to its dense population is expected to be a benchmark for designing a 5G NR simulation in the form of an output on how to use the 5G network in the area and the results of the RSRP and SINR parameters in this area. RSRP and SINR parameters are important parameters in analyzing a signal quality. This design uses a planning method on the coverage area side with a propagation model that is suitable for planning, namely the Urban Macro (UMa) model in accordance with the standards of 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) TR 38,901. The scenarios used in this design use 4 scenarios at each simulated frequency, namely outdoor-tooutdoor downlink, outdoor-to-outdoor uplink, outdoor-to-indoor downlink, and outdoor-toindoor uplink in line of sight (LOS) conditions. ). Parameters tested in this study include RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power), SINR (Signal-To-Noise and Interference Ratio). The results showed that the number of sites needed in the coverage area was more downlink sites than uplink sites. The lowest mean value of SS-RSRP is generated in the O2I Uplink scenario at a frequency of 3.3 GHz, which is -92.65 dBm, and the highest mean value of SS-RSRP is in the O2I downlink scenario with a frequency of 2.6 GHz, which is -87.02 dBm. For SS-SINR parameters, the largest mean is obtained from the O2I downlink scenario with a frequency of 2.6 GHz at 1.12 dB and the lowest is obtained from the O2I downlink scenario with a frequency of 3.3 GHz at 0.80 dB.
