Abstract :
Ease of internet access has many benefits for both individuals and groups. Apart from the ease of access, the beauty factor in interface design is also growing. Organizations can take advantage of the opportunities that are open from this to develop services, business, relations, and as a means to introduce various organizational activities to the general public or the community of an area as is the case in the Cultural Sector of the Banyumas Regency Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism Office which generally routinely organizes cultural-themed competitions which are followed by students. However, in the process of the competition, it is still not optimal in utilizing existing information technology such as the conventional registration process. This of course can cause problems for the process of competition activities, such as prospective participants being required to come to the registration location for both registration and collection of works, and from the committee also in terms of disseminating information and having to wait for the registration site. The online system can facilitate the running of the competition activities for both the contest participants and the competition committee. The Culture Sector is willing and has planned to move to an online registration and selection system for competitions, but the system requirements have not yet been formulated and the desired design design is still abstract. The research data was obtained through observation, interviews and literature studies, then this research used the Lean UX method in designing the system prototype design. In the Lean UX method, there are stages of Declare Assumption, Create an MVP, Make an Experiment, and Research and feedback. In the interface design process, this research adopts the Flat Design style which has minimalist characteristics, modern nuances, and emphasizes the functionality side. Tests in the research conducted resulted in two iterations after receiving feedback from potential users with 3 categories, namely contest participants, admin, and competition judges. This research resulted in a prototype design of an attractive competition administration system that could meet the needs of the three users mentioned above as well as become a reference material in the IT infrastructure procurement process in the Cultural Sector.
