Abstract :
The rapid phenomenon of fashion development that occurs especially in big cities and the growing awareness of the public will be a challenge for designers to create a different fashion and has its own character to meet the needs of fashion lovers. in this final project the author designed a collection of clothing that refers to the avant-garde by using patchwork combined with fabric, to visually further highlight the mysterious impression as the character of has, the notion of mysterious enchantment does not mean like Gothic Fashion that looks completely dark and antique but rather is a blend of composition between inspiration in packaging with mysterious visuals as a characteristic, with the aim of attracting one's curiosity. This research was conducted with qualitative methods, namely the study of literature on various sources and experimenting on patchwork material by trying out some fabric manipulation techniques such as applique, patchwork, smocking, etc. It is expected that by doing research on Fashion Product Design with the application of this patchwork manipulation can add variety to fashion products that have character. Pesatnya fenomena perkembangan fashion yang terjadi khususnya di perkotaan besar dan semakin sadarnya masyarakat akan penampilan menjadi tantangan bagi para desainer untuk menciptakan fashion yang berbeda dan memiliki karakter tersendiri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan para pecinta fashion. Pada tugas akhir ini penulis merancang koleksi busana yang mengacu pada avant-garde dengan menggunakan kain perca yang dikombinasi dengan kain baru, untuk visual lebih menonjolkan kesan misterius sebagai ciri khas, pengertian pesona misterius bukan berarti seperti Gothic Fashion yang terlihat serba gelap dan antik tetapi lebih pada perpaduan komposisi antara inspirasi yang di kemas dengan visual misterius sebagai ciri khas, dengan tujuan dapat menarik rasa keingintahuan seseorang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode kualitatif yaitu studi literatur terhadap berbagai sumber dan melakukan eksperimen pada material kain perca dengan mencoba beberapa teknik manipulasi kain seperti applique, patchwork, smocking, dan sebagainya. Diharapkan dengan dilakukannya penelitian Perancangan Produk Fashion dengan penerapan manipulasi kain perca ini dapat menambah variasi pada produk fashion yang memiliki karakter.
