Rico AlviNugraha,2017, NIT: 50134946.T,“The Effect of Welding Method to Safety Operation in MV.Temasek Attaka†withUrgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG) Method,Diploma IV Program, Technic, Merchant Marine PolythecnicSemarang, Advicer I: Drs.Darjono, M.Eng. andAdvicerII: Capt.H.Moh Aziz Rohman, MM, M.Mar. The purpose of this research is to discuss matters that cause the quality of welding with Urgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG) in MV.Temasek Attaka. Welding is one of the technic of metal connection with melting part of main metal and metal with or without pressure and with or without addition and produce continuing conncetion. With Urgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG) to find factors that cause the qualty of welding so that it effect safety operation According to research result in MV.Temasek Attaka using Urgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG) method generate lack of welding technic skill factor, lack of safety device,limitation of skills, lack of decent equipment.Those factors are intermediate event which the cause is still can be investigated. From abstraction above the writer can analyze the cause of leakage of welded connection in fuel bunker pipe, the impact happened due to leakage, and how effort to overcome the problem Keywords : Welding Methods, Welding Result, Limited Skills, Urgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG)
