INTISARI Pertiwangjiwo, Dini.2020. ?Tidak normalnya putaran bowl FO Purifier yang mengganggu proses pemurnian bahan bakar di kapal MT. Cipta Anyer?, skripsi. Program Studi Teknika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: H. Rahyono, SP.1, MM, M.Mar.E, Pembimbing II: Purwantono, S.Psi, M.Pd. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas hal-hal yang menyebabkan tidak normalnya putaran bowl pada FO Purifier, Purifier diatas kapal merupakan salah satu mesin bantu yang memiliki peranan sangat penting untuk memisahkan bahan bakar dari air, lumpur dan kotoran. Kegunaan dari bahan bakar yang sudah bersih ini adalah untuk mendukung pengoperasian dari mesin generator dalam menghasilkan pembakaran yang sempurna, sehingga kerusakan pada mesin akibat penggunaan bahan bakar yang tidak bersih dapat dikurangi. Metode penelitian yang penulis dalam penyusunan skripsi ini adalah deskripti kualitatif. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini asalah teknik analisis Fishbone dan SHEL, teknik analisa data digunakan untuk masalah yang ada pada Purifier, serta dampak dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya masalah pada Purifier. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis di kapal dapat disimpulkan bahwa menurunya kerja Purifier disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu: 1) Rusaknya vertical shaft. 2) Adanya keausan pada spiral gear. 3) kurangnya perawatan pada bowl Purifier. Upaya yang dilakukan meningkatkan kerja Purifier antara lain melakukan perbaikan pada vertical shaft yang rusak dan penggantian spiral gear, selanjutnya melakukan perawatan berdasarkan PMS (plant maintenance system) sesuai dengan intruction manual book. The purpose of this study is to discuss the things that cause abnormalities of the bowl rotation on the FO Purifier, the ship's Purifier is one of the auxiliary engines which has a very important role to separate fuel from water, mud and dirt. The purpose of this clean fuel is to support the operation of the generator engine in producing perfect combustion, so that damage to the engine due to the use of unclean fuels can be reduced. The research method by which the author in the preparation of this thesis is a qualitative description. While the data analysis technique used in this thesis is Fishbone and SHEL, analysis techniques, data analysis techniques are used for problems that exist in the Purifier, as well as the impact and efforts made to resolve the factors that cause problems in the Purifier. Based on the results of research conducted by the author on the ship it can be concluded that the decline in Purifier work is caused by several factors, namely: 1) Vertical shaft damage. 2) There is wear and tear on the spiral gear. 3) lack of maintenance on the bowl Purifier. Efforts made to improve the work of the Purifier include repairing damaged vertical shafts and replacing the spiral gear, then doing maintenance based on PMS (plant maintenance system) in accordance with the manual book instruction.
