ABSTRACT Dovan Hendri Kurniawan, NIT. 551811226671 T, 2023, "Analysis of The performance of Hydraulic Presure on Windlass Machines in MV. Andhika Kanishka", Diploma IV Program, Engine Department, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Supervisor I: Dr. A Agus Tjahjono, M.M.,Mar.E. dan Supervisor II: Capt. Anugrah Nur Prasetyo, M. Si Windlass machine is a machinery that is used to pull and lower the anchor and is usually used also to tether the rope at the time the ship docked to the dock or port. Windlass Machine can be operated with electrical energy, hydraulic energy system, steam energy. The Windlass machine has the ability to lift the anchor at an average speed of 5-6 fathoms/min from a depth of 30-60 fathoms. The Windlass machine also has a normal pressure of 6.5 Bar. Windlass machine consists of anchor, chain, windlass.This research uses descriptive qualitative method by describing in detail the cause of the decrease of hydraulic pressure on Windlass machine in MV. Andhika Kanishka. In determining the priority of the problem to be solved, the researcher uses an approach tool that is SWOT method.At the end of this thesis can be concluded that the occurrence of hydraulic pressure drop caused by damage to the gear pump due to wear and tear on the gear inside the gear pump. And the suggesstion to solve this problem is replacing the worn gear with new gear.
