Abstract :
This research aims to find out how online travel agent reservations contribute to room occupancy levels and find out what recommendations are generated from the results of this research. An online travel agent is a company that specializes in selling travel organizer services, including online transportation ticket reservations, tourist tickets and hotel bookings. This research was carried out at the Mercure Bali Nusa Dua Hotel, one of the four-star hotels in Bali which is located in Nusa Dua, the southern region of Bali. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques in this research are interview techniques, observation and documentation studies, while the analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research explain that online travel agents (OTA) contribute significantly to the room occupancy rate at Mercure Bali Nusa Dua, reaching 75% of total bookings. However, cancellations via OTA which reach 70% are a challenge. Diversifying marketing strategies, managing cancellations, and improving operational readiness during the holiday season are necessary to optimize OTA benefits and improve hotel performance and profitability.
