Abstract :
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah Profitabilitas, Pertumbuhan Aset dan Ukuran Perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap Struktur Modal yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada Tahun 2014 ? 2020. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian paradigma kuantitatif dengan pendekatan uji hipotesis atau kasualitas. Populasi pada penelitian berjumlah 46 perusahaan yang diperoleh dari Perusahaan Perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada Tahun 2014 ? 2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan menghasilkan sampel sebanyak 16 perusahaan yang memenuhi kriteria. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Statistik Deskriptif, Uji Asumsi Klasik dan Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda dengan menggunakan aplikasi Eviews 9. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa : Profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Artinya, bahwa semakin besar profitabilitas maka semakin sedikit tingkat utang karena perusahaan lebih memilih menggunakan hasil profitabilitas tersebut daripada harus menambah tingkat utangnya. Sedangkan pertumbuhan aset dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Artinya bahwa semakin besar tingkat pertumbuhan aset dan ukuran perusahaan maka semakin besar juga tingkat utang yang dimiliki perusahaan karena perusahaan yang memiliki tingkat pertumbuhan yang tinggi harus mengandalkan dana eksternal dan perusahaan dengan ukuran yang lebih besar lebih mudah dalam mencari investor atau pemberi pinjaman dibandingkan dengan perusahaan dengan ukuran yang lebih kecil. This research is a quantitative paradigm research with a hypothesis or causality test approach. The population in this study amounted to 46 companies obtained from banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014 ? 2020. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique and resulted in a sample of 16 companies that met the criteria. The data analysis technique used is Descriptive Statistics, Classical Assumption Test and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis using the Eviews 9 application. The results of this study indicate that: Profitability has a negative and significant effect on capital structure. This means that the greater the profitability, the lower the level of debt because the company prefers to use the profitability results rather than having to increase its debt level. Meanwhile, asset growth and firm size have a positive and significant effect on capital structure. This means that the greater the growth rate of assets and the size of the company, the greater the level of debt owned by the company because companies that have high growth rates must rely on external funds and companies with larger sizes are easier to find investors or lenders compared to companies with higher growth rates. smaller size.
