Abstract :
This study aims to compare the level of consumer confidence in the halal and quality of local and imported cosmetic products for cosmetic users in RW 02, Cipinang Urban Village. The strategy used is comparative. The population in
this study was cosmetic users in RW 02, Cipinang Urban Village. The samples in this study were 50 respondents. The data collection technique used was purposive sampling with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire.
This research uses chi square test analysis with Statistical Program For Social Sciences methods ver.25.0. The results of the study concluded that for the variable level of consumer
confidence in the halalness of local and imported cosmetics there was a significant difference, and the level of consumer confidence in the quality of local and imported cosmetic products was a significant difference, because it
had a P-Value <0.05. And consumers trust more local halal cosmetics compared to imported halal cosmetics, while for quality products consumers trust more in the quality of imported cosmetic products than the quality of local
cosmetic products.
