Abstract :
The success of a company can be considered with the presence of human resources
in carrying out specific activities in the company. In the Industrial Companies listed
in Kima, the employees are identified low in their work performance, discipline,
cooperation, leadership, initiatives and skills, particularly in terms of job satisfaction.
Therefore, this study aimed to examine and analyze the effect of compensation, leadership
and work environment on employee performance as well as the effect of job satisfaction
on employee performance in Food and Beverage Industries in Makassar Industrial area.
In this study the data were collection with questionnaires technique. The data were
analysis with SEM assumption, test of model feasibility, interpretation and model
modification, identification problem evaluation, and evaluation on criteria of goodness-
of-fit model.
The analysis results on the effect of compensation on job satisfaction indicated that
the compensation had positive and significant impacts on job satisfaction. Another result
showed that leadership had positive and significant effects on job satisfaction. The
analysis on the work environment on job satisfaction resulted a parameter estimation that
there were positive and insignificant findings of compensation variables on employee
performance. In addition, this study found that the work environment had positive and
significant influences toward employee performance.
