Abstract :
The success of a teacher as an educator is obviously considered from
the teacher's performance. It is one of important components in improving an
educational quality as well as influencing the quality of human resources. In other
words, the teacher?s performance affect teaching and learning activities at schools
and the nation's future through educational investment on human resources. The
obstacle of this study is that the teacher?s performance is not achieved as what
each school expects for. Almost 100% of teachers have been certified, but their
teaching and learning activities have not been achieved the target. Therefore, this
study was aimed to examine and analyze the influence of principal?s leadership,
teacher?s competence, and school climate on teacher performance at Adiwiyata
Mandiri School in Makassar. This also tested and analyze the effect of spiritual
motivation on teacher performance at Adiwiyata Mandiri School in Makassar.
To implement those objectives, the data were collected through
questionnaires. The data were analyzed using PLS with four steps: designing
a measurement model (outer model), designing a structural model (inner Model),
evaluating Goodness of Fit, and testing hypothesis (resampling bootstraping).
As the result, this study indicated that the principal's leadership had positive
and significant impacts on teacher performance. This empirically found that the
teacher?s competence had positive and significant effects on teacher performance.
However, the school climate did not significantly affect the performance
of teacher of Adiwiyata Mandiri School in Makassar. As the mediation test, this
study resulted that the spiritual motivation mediated the principal's leadership to
influence the teacher?s performance. The mediation test also resulted that the
spiritual motivation mediated the effect of teacher?s competence on teacher?s performance at the Adiwiyata Mandiri School in Makassar. Moreover, this study found that the spiritual motivation could mediate the impact of school climate on teacher?s performance at Adiwiyata Mandiri School in Makassar.
