The research on thirty six students in grades tenth, eleventh, and twelve found various errors in pronouncing short and long vowels in English. The conclusion of the research : 1) The most significant mistake of short vowels in eleventh grade was the most critical error rate of 75% in the pronunciation of "sun" and "jump", 2) The significant error of long vowels in eleventh grade, an effective error rate of 100% in the pronunciation of the word "Kite", 3) The most important issue that influenced the students' difficulties in English pronunciation was the unknown meaning of words, for about 64% 4) Based on the analysis, it could be supposed that the higher class and the length of time to study minimalizes the level of errors, However, it was undeniable that students' abilities differed and could not all be generalized.
