Abstract :
This research with Human Resource Management background is entitled ?The
Effect of Compensation on Employee Turnover Intention at Meize Hotel? which
aims to identify the effect of compensation as variable X on employee turnover
intention as variable Y. This study has collected data through the answers from
permanent employees at Meize Hotel as respondents to compensation and turnover
intention. Sampling in this study uses a saturated sampling technique where all
members of the population are samples with a quantitative approach method. Data
collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 25 respondents with 17
questions inside. The data processing is using descriptive statistical analysis, tests
of validity and reliability, test of normality, test of linearity, test of simple linear
regression, and the last step is using coefficient of determination. The results
showed that the effect of compensation on turnover intention is 0,176 with a linear
relationshiip based on test of simple linear regression. At Meize Hotel itself,
compensation has an effect of 5,7% based on the result of coefficient of
determination, so that the type of relationship is on the low category. Based on the
result of this research, the writer recommend Meize Hotel to conduct socialization
regarding compensation so there will be no misunderstandings and approach more
the employees to avoid increasing turnover intention.
