Abstract :
PT. Bituris Wisata Indonesia Jakarta is one of the tour operators in
collaboration with SEATGA (South East Asia Tourist Guide Association).
Together with other ASEAN countries, a 'BeTourist' product branding is formed
for each tourism product sold. One of the tourism products offered by PT. The
Indonesian Tourism Bituris in the City of Jakarta is the Jakarta Heritage Walk.
To maximize tourism products, PT. Indonesian Tourism Bituris uses thematic
interpretations as an intermediary between guides, tourists, and tourist
attractions. This study aims to describe how the use of thematic interpretation
techniques with the TORE method. Four elements become the object of research,
namely elements of theme, organized, relevant, and enjoyable. In this study, a
descriptive qualitative approach was used. The research data collection method
is done by interview and documentation. While data analysis is processed
continuously, grouping and organizing data, and evaluating research. The
results of the research conducted to produce a description of thematic
interpretation techniques with the TORE method from Ham. The purpose of
thematic interpretation using the TORE method on the Jakarta Heritage Walk
tourism product also enhances tourist experiences, influences attitudes and
promotes appreciation, and enhances the protection of important resources in
the Jakarta Old Town Region.
